The protective case fits the GPD3 perfectly. It does what it needs to do it protects the GPD3. The only problem I see is the material that covers the case feels like it can be easily ripped or torn. I have not experienced a rip or tear in my case it just feels that way but otherwise a good product that does what it needs to do.

Just amazing. I have tried the ally x, legion go and steam deck. Nothing compares. Going to sell my laptop and get a dock to oculink to an external gpu. The only gripe I have is that ghost of tsushima won't run. I went to the discord and everyone on there agreed it just isn't supported well on this system. It just keeps crashing. Once that gets an update or something, I will be completely satisfied.

The eGPU does give a little extra where it needs to when it comes to heavy games and, the docking station definatly comes in handy and as for the m.2 slot. It works with an 8TB as well.

I like my 15.6 inch laptop. It has an 8th gen i7 and a 1440p screen. But, when it came to gaming it couldn't keep up with this portable machine. I like playing forza on this computer and it's portable enough that I can take it in my pocket to work when I want to order doordash. It's also powerful enough that I could use it as my main pc if I really wanted. Well worth the money for anybody considering buying one.

Great service from Droix and an incredible handheld. I'm still trying it out, but the speed and quality are so much better than my old handheld (Legion Go). Expensive yes, worth it - definitely 🙂

I picked one of these up on a whim as they were on sale, and after reading some articles online about the Spruce custom firmware, which really brings this little device alive.

At the original launch price the A30 is perhaps too limited in power compared to other options. But with the Spruce mod and a price drop it really is an excellent way play retro games on the go.

If you have big hands it might feel a little cramped, although there are some 3D print files around online for grips.

Also a thumbs up for Droix customer service. 1st unit I ordered had an issue with the power button. They swapped it out quickly and the replacement is perfect

I have the Pentium Gold version of this computer. I promptly erased Windows and installed Debian Trixie on the computer. The computer build quality is superb. The computer feels solid and sturdy a good strong build. Debian Trixie works like a charm everything works out of the box. I am using the plasma environment and the only adjustments I had to make was to rotate the screen (it defaulted to portrait mode) once rotated the automatic rotation works fine. The touch screen works, Bluetooth works, Wifi works camera works, and sound works. The computer is very responsive on Trixie and boots fast. Thekey board feels good. the keyboard does take a little getting use to with some of the keys but the keyboard is an overall good feel. I have not tested the pen functionality yet as I am waiting on a pen to come. I get about 6 hours battery life with streaming videos for the full 6 hours. This is a great laptop for travel and charges with USB-C. Runs awesome with Linux just what I was looking for. A side not Grub and SDDM start in portrait mode to you can either ignore it or do a Brave search on how to fix the portrait mode. It isnt hard to change Grub and SDDM to landscape mode but you do have to be familiar with the terminal. I highly recommend this computer for use with Linux. The Laptop is an excellent small laptop convenient for travel, sturdy build, and excellent Linux compatibility it is a great purchase. The attached picture is Trixie with plasma 6 desktop.

Don’t get me wrong the Steam Deck is (was) cool. However….this 2025 version of the GPD Win 4 is insane! It’s an absolute powerhouse of a gaming pc. The design is sooo great, like a PSP only it handles even the latest titles, stuff the Deck cannot. I’ve got my Win 4 docked and plugged into my big pub tv. PS5 controller, Bluetooth mouse and keyboard and currently playing Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. I did 3 hours straight last night and it didn’t have any issues at all. I know it’s pricey compared to the Deck but if your like me, do you want something that will do or something that works? The Win 4 2025 addition is easily the best handheld gaming pc and the nicest that money can buy these days.

This is the best gaming portable device I ever used. Has great battery life, and is very versatile for use as a laptop or handheld gaming.

Awesome, this new chipset is a much welcome addition to my EGPU set. Flashing a passport in a picture isn’t that interesting, but it does help provide validation if you’re wondering how preproduction devices are built and certified to space flight standard(Yep.). Good build quality, and this AMD chipset is going to pair nicely with a future NVIDIA 5090, and an occulink/USB 4, T-Bolt dock. Caveat with occulink is that, the performance bottleneck is limited what is in active PCIE development. Simulated performance limitations thanks to the chip, due to the limits of designing into adaptation. PCIE is the USB for the actual chipset, much relies upon varied implementations, and hardware diversity since that enables hardware optimization. (Windows 101) Thanks Droix, and GPD for this learning opportunity!

it's been a min since I've purchased a laptop. but to get this beast and blow my desktop away is amazing. works like a dream. I do play new and old games and so far it's been nice to see something this portable be able to do what it can. can't wait to disassemble my pc and add my video card to it using the occulink port. now I can play on the go and dock for amazing performance. thank you GPD for letting me do the upgrade. totally work the money.

Perfect for a touring/traveling musician. Its no bigger than an iPad, and if you can bring an iPad anywhere, you can bring this. No need to bring a controller as its built in. The screens beautiful doesnt get too hot. Absolutely perfect keyboard size and the keys presses feel satisfying. Theres almost. No compromises with this device other than the 60hz refresh rate. This is the end all be all for travelers who need work and gaming done, or handheld gamers that want a all in on experience.

I still have the 2022 model. It serves me perfectly. Of course, some of the latest games are difficult to play without an additional external GPU, but games up to 20-21 can be played quite solidly, if not perfectly. The controller is fantastic, a much better experience than the Xbox controller, or any other.
I notice in the comments that people are complaining about the bad battery. I don't know where this experience comes from, but my battery lasts two, up to two and a half hours and that's still the case after three years! And that's quite enough for me, because I don't play all day, but an hour and a half is quite enough for me. After all, this is just a casual gaming device and not some hardcore gaming machine. And while I'm at it, I also own a RAzerBlade laptop, year 2020, with geforce 2070 graphics... Wow, this otherwise beautiful machine, even if I just leave it on and just look at it, dies in half an hour! And that's from the moment I bought it. No settings help. That's why I find the WIN Max 2 incomparably more useful, and the controllers are built in. Priceless! On top of that, I have all the possible inputs for disks and cards filled! I currently have 5TB disks in this device. I can run games, and newer ones, without any problems both from SD and from microSD cards! Crazy... The fan volume has been the biggest problem I've had so far, but I discovered quite by accident that I can "mute" it even for the most demanding gaming or work by pressing alt-shift (I think, no) and for this purpose the light on the left shift button, where there is also a small fan symbol, lights up. Great feature! The Razer doesn't have this, but it's even louder and hotter than this little thing from GPD. As for the battery, I should tell all the naysayers to just plug in a 100w powerbank and they'll be able to burn their brains long into the night 😉

It's a good machine. I like the form factor better than the steamdeck style. the performance in games is surprising horizon zero dawn ran at native resolution with fsr and ultra settings at 29 fps and it looks amazing on the screen.

Undoubtedly the best emulation device I’ve seen or owned. With a little tinkering and setup it’s played nearly everything I’ve thrown at it. You need to be a little tech savvy but there are guides everywhere. If you’ve been contemplating buying this device, don’t, just buy it - you won’t regret it.

The device itself is a thing of beauty, I backed up my SD card and flashed MUOS which runs very smoothly.

I love buying stuff from Droix. Makes a change not having to buy stuff from AliExpress and such places.

the only downside i find is in windows itself on such a small screen and the slight issues i bump into but this is my computer and is great works amazing i use a third party dock and it is quite nice
